Namiuchigiwa no Muromi-san episode 02
As if this anime couldn't get any more hilarious, this time around they are changing the way you remember history XD
I think that's a nice touch btw, the title is in the OP. Hey, for a 12 minute anime, they sure are making the most of this series. Anyways, our first taste of a how history changed happens quite early too. Does anyone remember Seto No Hanayome? Yeah, Takurou's VA loves those mermaids XD but what I wanted to talk about, was the thing about mermaids singing. In Seto No Hanayome, if I'm remembering this correctly, their songs had power-up abilities, but here in Muromi-san, they.... sink ships XD
That has got to be one of the things I love so much about this series, is that they take much of what you knew, and twisted it. Seriously, what does singing have to do with sinking ships? Totally caught me off guard XD

Feel my birthday!
Ah, that one day a year I can unwind and do.... normal stuff. Well, if touching a virtual girl's boobs with a stylus counts as normal, then yeah....
(Click above for an introduction by me! If it doesn't play, then click here to download.)
My week leading up to today was absolutely mixed of good luck bad luck. I don't even know how many good bad things can happen to someone, I had to spend the week healing my ailing shoulder, I almost caught a cold, and perhaps the worst so far, my only functionally sane smartphone I had died. Lucky for me I had actually set my mind to something for once in my life, and I looked forward to this day, my day of peace and... a stupid power outage.

I had to dress her up in ninja outfit. This year was definitely a year for the sexy ninja-chan.

Kakumeiki Valvrave episode 01
Contrary to the way I found out some series this season, this one was probably the first preview I saw last year. I had been looking for info on the next Gundam series, when I saw a preview for this series. Well, since Gundam AGE was a little ehhh, I figured I'd give Valvrave a chance.
Let me start off by saying that after watching episode 01, I had this feeling of, this isn't exactly a vast world. I mean the setting, the universe the story is set in, it doesn't feel like you can get technical with it. I don't know if I'm making any sense, but....it just doesn't feel like a deep story. Let's say example, the characters, namely the group of baddies we see early in the episode. They don't feel unique. It's hard to easily describe them off the bat. In Code Geass, there was Orange-kun, the dark skinned lady (forgot her name >_<), Suzaku, there was the niisan who didn't last long, characters that have their unique traits. Valvrave was instantly compared to Gundam Seed due to a number of cliches in the first episode, but even Gundam Seed had a squad of baddies that were unique, the easygoing Dearka, the model soldier Yzak, the pianist Nicol, the father's son Athrun, characters you feel would be important later on.
In Valvrave, these "druggies" as some have called them, all pretty much act the same way, and their names are.... in fact, I think only 3 of them have been mentioned >__> I just don't see these guys as important like some series that have memorable bad guys, maybe the leader of that group, but everyone else is just... bland.

Suisei no Gargantia episode 01
I'm a big fan of Stargate. The whole gating to another world thing just hit with me the moment I watched this first episode. Add in a reverse tarzan story of the advanced man dropping into a crowd of not-so-advanced-people, I was just hooked. Maybe, this was something, a series I have been waiting for for a long time...
In this case though, this isn't like Stargate's gates, but maybe a bit more like the Supergates in the last 2 seasons of Stargate SG-1, something like a way to shorten the distance. In any case, sending a massive fleet through the gate was truly quite a sight, something I always think about, could such a thing be possible in our lifetime? Gating through space :D

Date A Live Episode 01
So how did I find out about this series? I don't read LN's, and I just don't hang out online like I used to, so what drew me in? The...not-so-same way it always does, I saw the 3 minute PV hit wide release and that's all she wrote.
I was sucked in completely, and I'm not going to lie, they showed Kotori's pantsu full screen in that pv (ver1.2) and I fell in love. Of course, I was also drawn to Tohka, who I can't help but fall for the armed ponytail.

Namiuchigiwa no Muromi-san episode 01
Okay, this is one weird way to start the season but I just had to. Going into this series I had no idea what I was going into. Let me round up the weird and wonderful way I came onto this series: So I'm somewhat of a big fan of Mermaid Melody PPP name-is-too-long, I say somewhat because I never finished the first season and went all the way with the second season, but more importantly, I love the mermaid girls and even some of the bad girls :P
She's.... flying....
This of course being around 2004 when I fell in love with 13 minute anime due to that year being one of my most memorable and super charged in my life until recent years, and when I saw the episode counts drop from the very common 24/26 down to 13/12, I lamented the rarity of 13 minute series.

Da Capo III episode 02
Since all I saw was a close up of school uniforms and such last ep, let's see what's in store for this episode.
It's a Charles-chan episode, which.... I'm surprised to be honest. I usually regard the girl who gets her own episode first as having a low chance of being the chosen girl at the end of the series, but for it to be Charles-chan so soon..... That's great! That means that Kiyobaka won't defile her purity, and that means I get to marry her! Whoohoo! >o< *runs* by the way, I wanted to mention something. I don't like calling her Charles, I can't call her Shirley because.... she's not a Charlotte, and I can't call her Ruru/Lulu-nee like a certain Kiyobaka, so I hereby announce my nickname for her:
Dr. Rurru-nee! :P

Believe Machine, why it's the best ending to an H manga I've ever read
I don't even feel like calling it an H manga because really, it's in a league of it's own. A wonderful piece of art, not just visually, but a literary piece that on the surface, may look like a normal great ending, but to me it meant a lot more than just a simple ending.
This was a story of a robot, who was anything but. She showed more humanity in her life and end than I usually see in these type of romance stories involving human/robot relationships. The part that really got to me, and ultimately did make me cry once I realized it, was her death. At a glance it looks like she served her purpose, and so she too must sleep once again. But in reality, this was the part where I really read deeply into it, and it makes so much sense. The thing that happened was, she used her self destruct program to terminate herself at the death of her master. Some folks thought that she did this because she no longer had a purpose, that she fulfilled her duty and promise to her master. I saw it like this: by reprogramming herself, she made a choice, not to cease functioning once her promise was fulfilled, but a choice of what she herself wanted to do. She didn't follow commands like a robot, she showed a true human emotion that a robot normally shouldn't, and that was to make a choice to love someone till death.
It is that choice that really made me realize, she became more human than what it looks like. I had to fight back the tears because of my left eye, but I couldn't help it. This was a great read, I felt more to it than Cherry Pink, and further proof that some hentai can have a great story. In the last decade, it used to be said that "Hentai has no story". Now I get to say, "Read Believe Machine TL'ed by LustyLadyProject."
In her final act, the robot showed great human emotions instead of following a command. Truly the happiest robot in the world.

Ore no Kanojo to Osananajimi ga Shuraba Sugiru episode 01
That's one heck of a title. From now on I'll shorten that to Oreshura, which is the common way to shorten novels with really long titles these days. Maybe I ought to create a manga with a really long title, like "My older sister wears pantyhose and a miniskirt and dominates me every day and every night".... but that would most likely be shortened to "Minisuka Neesan" XD
Anyways, onto the episode, I gotta say this is one heck of a colorful anime. Which is actually not so bad to my eyes, it's the pleasant kind of colors and not the heavily bright colors that would be glossy reflective on a glossy screen.

Senran Kagura
According to the scriptwriter's twitter, in addition to a drama CD, it looks like Senran Kagura will have OVA specials. At least, the first volume will have one, which definitely sounds like Katsu-neechan will give her fondling hands a work out have a hands-on with measurements :D I believe there will be more than just one special though as each volume comes out.(sources: Tokyo Anime news, Amazon BD listing, main site)

Girls Und Panzer eps 1-10
I love girls, and I love pantsu I mean 'panzer'. And when the two ride together, it puts a smile on my face.
-mangatron, December 2012
I love weaponized girls. Be it Strike Witches, female knights, sword girls and mecha pilots, I just have a thing for them. And Girls Und Panzer took this to a new level by weaponizing the girls with one of my favorite military weapons: the tank. While I'm not getting into the obvious of how I came to like girls :P, my love for the tank started when I was a kid growing up in Germany. This was during the time when the American presence was strong in Germany, and in my hometown it was like a base at every turn. I so happened to live right across a motor pool, and if you don't know, a motor pool is basically a huge garage for military vehicles. I got to see almost every US Military vehicle possible, including the tank. The first time I saw that tank rumbling on the street, the sound it made as the treads were crushing the street beneath it, it was a sound I will never forget. And I'll never forget the first time I tried to climb a tank (M60), it was hilarious, as I thought the opposite of what Brody said in that Indiana Jones Last Crusade movie, and I thought "How does one get on this thing?" And I tried to climb the side of the tank (from the treads up), and I just couldn't do it. How embarrassed was I when I realized you are normally supposed to climb from the front XD, what I was thinking at the time was like a mountain climber, climbing via the most accessible stack of footholds (I had a big laugh when the loli twintail pres couldn't climb up). I truly enjoyed my childhood in Germany, highlighted by my once in a lifetime visit to the awesome US base Grafenwoehr. Thank you for the memories 3rd Armored Division!
And I've always associated tanks with males, the thought of girls having a ride never did cross my mind until I got into Anime, and why not, girls as mecha pilots is a great idea, so why not let them drive a tank. But tanks were laughing stocks in Anime, always mankind's first line of defense that always proved useless, and it wasn't girls driving them. It wasn't until one of my top anime arrived when I finally realized a Girl + Tank would really work.
